I saw it coming...

The Feels...

HOW DIDN'T I SEE THE SIGNS!?!

I CAN'T EVEN GET IN THE ELEVATOR WITHOUT GETTING HUNTED!!!

I still do not know what this thing was...

WHY IS MY LUCK SO BAAAD!?!

So I attempted to play your game but for some reason you have the volume set so low I can barely here a thing, even at max volume with my computer and headset, trying to hear for the dog in the woods was impossible, I didn't even hear a hint of something abnormal when I got to that segment. I can't necessarily complete an objective if the main element to get me to the objective isn't there. And with the added annoyance of having my moving speed permanently locked to a snail's pace, my engagement and patience for this game diminished rapidly.

I apologize for being a bit blunt here, but I believe these issues need to be fixed before I decide to jump back into this experience again.

If only I read the signs...

I hope to see more from you. This was one of the best games I have played on itch.io.

I'm SOOOO COOKED!!!

This game deserves to be framed in gold in a museum, a brilliant work of art that's right in my field of horror. As such I decided to make this into a series, as I feel making it a one-off would spoil the experience.

I haven't even gone too far with this game, but I give this a 10/10, you've done a stellar job!

Who put this random slide here?

These horrors follow me everywhere!!!

(Also, not my best thumbnail... I was in a hurry...)

1:1 ratio of my neighborhood!! Jokes aside this game is amazing, I can't wait to see more in the future!

THIS IS WHY WE DON'T TOUCH MYSTERIOUS ARTIFACTS!!!

I'll be sure to look into it soon!

This was probably the BEST version of the Creepypasta that I have ever seen. Though I'm usure if the game was supposed to continue after "... used DESTINY BOND." It's been a literal DECADE since I read the story so I didn't remember every detail.

Great game regardless.

Like a moth to a flame, I'VE BEEN FOOLED!!!

one man, two bread...

I went insane for a moment...

You're most certainly welcome! and I I stated before, keep up the good work!

Delimbing an alien...

Yet another Job I had to quit from cuz the owner's a blood lusted psychopath..

Very interesting game... though I noticed a weird bug in the beginning where my camera was constantly spinning. I had realized a bit later that it was due to my controller being connected.

I find great promise in this game! I get some prototype vibes with carrion elements. I struggled getting through the first level and there were some bugs with the guards I noticed but I will likely keep playing this. Great work!

Bone Apple Teeth

Just realized where I've recognized your face. You made a Quite Place. I played that game as well!

With pleasure Vuk!

I need new friends...

So unfortunately as much as I want to continue this series, the game keeps crashing every time I would return to the mansion from the garden outside after collecting the ruby. Idk why this keeps happening, and I've tried multiple possible solutions, but to no avail, this issue has inevitably prevented me from progressing further, as such I have to end my experience for now. I may continue this game when more updates/patches are added or when the full game comes out. Once again I thank you for recommending this game to me, it was an honor to try to help promote your game and assist with critiques and recommendations. Keep me posted if you wish and have a good day.

I'm lost in an Escher painting and I can't get out PLEASE SEND HELP!!!

Part 3 has now been uploaded! Though I have not much to say that I haven't already brought up in in the previous videos, say for some "glitches" and layering. One such was a delay in my death just as I got hit running into a room. My game did crash towards the end but I'm uncertain if that was the game or my computer.

Part 2 is out now! And as a disclaimer, I do come off a bit sour in this one, irritations of life kinda fused into my gaming experience. Along with the fact that I had to record this TWICE, as my recording was interrupted my a power outage. Regardless of such now that I have played through a bit more (still not done yet btw) I have some new critiques to make.

Firstly, the pros:

  • You really do show the sense of tension well, where more mad folks appear, the surrounding atmosphere tenses up.
  • I didn't really use this to full effect but still great ideas is being able to hide will come pretty useful at times.
  • I find the idea of taking time to rummage through chests and closets pretty interesting (though I hate that it sounds like someone's coming around the corner in some cases.)
  • Finding loose scraps of food does emphasize your idea of the survival aspect of this game.
  • You have added a lot of QoL elements that I find interesting, going close to windows you can faintly hear rain or wind, You can walk on corpses and they make a faint squish sound (weird but cool). And probably the aforementioned pros I brought up add to this well.

Cons:

I only have one can but its a big one in my opinion.

  • The combat is sort of annoying, not necessarily bad ideas with the combat mechanic as I feel this game is more-so trying to avoid these maddened people rather than fighting them. But I feel it could be more of an even playing field if the weapons I pick up don't break so easily if at all. Like I already have to deal with tripping if I run too much, and it takes up a lot of stamina when I swing, I think adding durability to the weapons creates too much of an imbalance for players. Not suggesting they need to be stronger but I think I would have a slightly higher chance to get myself out of trouble a bit more effectively if the ladle I found wouldn't break but as a balance only did minor damage. Though the shards of glass makes sense, I don't expect that to physically remain in one piece after multiple uses. I think it needs to depend on the weapon. Though I'm usure how many weapons there are currently.

Despite this I'm really enjoying the demo, and you've done great work so far. Expect part 3 soon!

OH! well like I said I have a skill issue lmao!

I'm glad you took my critique well, and I anticipate your future updates!

First off, thank you so much for allowing me to play your game! I am honored and privileged that you found me qualified to help promote your game. I am always willing to help creators. That being said I have some things to say about your game:

First off, I absolutely LOVED the graphics and visuals, I see a lot of PSX inspired games on itch.io, but only a handful such as yours really stand out from the crowed and really give the game a strong nostalgic vibe. I mentioned this while playing, I can tell this game is inspired by the Resident Evil/Biohazard games from the early days of 3d horror, but this game also reminded me a bit of Manhunt for the PS2, except I was the one being hunted here. The tension gets very strong when the killer arrives, making me feel extremely vulnerable. I'm not one to get scared easy, as I have seen a lot of horror in my life, but I still felt that unease faintly crawling up my spine when I heard the breaking of glass. And the killer is genuinely unnerving to look at. It's always a vexing feeling to realize that what hunts you isn't a monster, but someone of your own kind, with know way of knowing why.

As I do love where this game is going, I am ashamed to say that I couldn't complete the game. I only ran into a handful of issues through this but they took me out of the experience. I got frustrated with getting lost quite easily even after figuring out that I can change the camera viewpoint (which I love the fact that you added that btw). And half way through, I get to finding the flashlight, and none of the buttons to turn it on would work for some reason even with the batteries being found prior, and after the second time dying I stopped playing, as I felt I was just going to be dying more than progressing, which could be a severe skill issue on my part, as I never really played games like this, and if I have, it's been a VERY LONG time.

But don't let my words discourage you, I am aware that this is still in early access, so it's not going to be a masterpiece right off the bat. Despite my critique, I'm eager to see where this game is heading in the future, because you have something very promising that other games don't. You have a lot of passion for this and I can tell. So keep going strong!

If you wish, you can still keep me updated with news on this game, and I do plan to play this again, I just need to clear my mind as I now know what I'm doing (somewhat).

I hope I didn't come off harsh for you, as I'm not someone who just says "10/10" or "GOTY" for every game I play, because I feel like that doesn't really assist your work, and in some cases that could lead to bad scenarios because the issues the game can have aren't getting addressed. And since I see a lot of care in this I speak out of passion for your efforts and I want to see you at your best.

First, thank you for recommending this game to me, I decided to pursue this in episodes as I didn't want any exporting issues with my (annoying af) computer. So I will have a part 2 within the next couple of days. So far I am really into it, the art is unique and does fit with the "victorian" and "royal" environment, reminds me of Ib in a way. Gameplay is a tad wonky, just a few things to get used to mostly, such as the controls, movement, combat, etc. other than that, I had a few minor points and recommendations for you in the video.

But overall, I'm having a great experience so far. You really have something promising.

WHY KITTY WHY!?!

I can't escape these psychopaths...

I need to get a car...

I SEEK THE HEART OF SAURON!!!
